Purpose of Role: To manage all aspects of the relationship between the company and allocated customers.  To develop new business through growth and diversification and take responsibility for the delivery of sales targets and other objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate contract agreements with customers in line with the objectives, targets and strategy of the business
  • Communicate with customers as required through visits, emails, telephone calls and other forms of communication; to promote the company and its products and services, and to establish the customers’ requirements.
  • Travel as required for the effective performance of the role.
  • Co-ordinate the supply of information to customers in support of our business relationship.  This will include technical enquiries, questionnaires, complaints, contracts, specifications and other information as required.
  • Communicate all aspects of customers’ contracts to colleagues and to take full ownership of the contract negotiation and communication process.
  • Investigate potential new customers, markets and products in line with the objectives, targets and strategy of the business.
  • Complete reports on customer contact as a record of important discussions and agreements within the systems operated by the company.
  • Project a positive and professional image on behalf of the company at all times.
  • Produce sales reports as requested; attend sales meetings, new product development meetings and other relevant meetings as requested, and to contribute as required towards the management and development of the business.

Background and Skill:

  • Experience within a Chemical or Pharmaceutical Industry is essential for the role
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of a similar role
  • Negotiation skills
  • General commercial understanding
  • Good IT and administrative skills
  • Full driving licence required
